The Liam O'Connor Show

The Liam O'Connor performance is a spectacular explosion of music, song and dance rooted in the Irish music tradition - a spellbinding display of raw energy, passion and melodic genius. Liam O'Connor is an internationally renowned musician of 20 instruments and his spirit will swiftly sweep across your soul as the enchanting melodies are executed from his 'fastest fingers in the world' (Guinness Book of Records 2008).

The show recommences in the Summer months.

Ireland BikeFest 2015

Ireland BikeFest is an international motorcycle festival based in Killarney every year. It takes places annually on the June Bank Holiday Weekend and it is Ireland’s largest free open biker festival. Over 30,000 were in attendance last year and this year promises to be bigger and better than ever before. Live music acts, as well as the annual Ireland BikeFest Parade in aid of Muscular Dystrophy Ireland are just two of the many highlights in what is one of the best weekends taking place in the South-West of Ireland and beyond. Many a non-biking lover have been won over by the friendliness, charm and appeal of such an unique and wonderful festival experience.

Killarney Beerfest

Treat yourself to a selection of Heavenly Brews at the inaugural Killarney Beer Festival June 5th-7th.
The best of Irish Craft Brewers will descend upon Killarney and bring with them kegs of crafty Beers to get your taste buds tingling. In association with Beoir Ireland this chock-a-block weekend includes Beer tasting, master classes, awards, competitions, artisan food village and live entertainment.
The league of extraordinary Beer drinkers in the guise of Beoir Ireland will debut a major new awards programme with over eight categories including Pale Ale, Dark Ale, Wheat Beer, Porter & Stout, Sour Beer and a Beoir Champion Beer of Ireland will be crowned at the Festival. The Awards are open to all Irish Breweries North and Judges will hale from independent Beer consumer groups such as Beoir, CAMRA and other EBCU members.
Sit back and sip your stout with live entertainment from Picture House, Jerry Fish and The Swing Cats and stroll through the Artisan Food Village armed with your fork to taste the best of authentic Irish food.

There has been a recent explosion of new breweries in Ireland over the past year providing greater choice of quality beer and cider. Beerology isn’t profession yet but you can earn your degree in Killarney and become a craft beer connoisseur at the ultimate Beer tasting extravaganza.

Killarney Festival of Music & Food at Killarney House Demense

Over 60 Irish and international musicians and bands will perform at Killarney Festival of Music & Food including Duran Duran, Jools Holland & his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra, Texas, The Proclaimers, The Undertones, Burt Bacharach, Walking On Cars, ABC, Wallis Bird, Mick Flannery, Gemma Hayes, Mundy, Paddy Casey, Damien Dempsey, Declan O’Rourke, Delorentos, The 4 Of Us, Something Happens, The Frank & Walters, Colin Devlin, Morrisey & Marshall, Kormac's Big Band, Daithí, Gangs, Oh Boland, Steven Sharpe & The Broke Straight Boys, Tracey Bruen, Lloyd Yates, We Banjo 3, Ham Sandwich, Giulia, David Lyttle, Sleep Thieves, Gingerbeard Family, The Young Folk, Oh Emperor, Tucan, Little Hours and Elastic Sheep. Headliners and additional acts will be confirmed in the coming months leading up to the festival.

The Comedy Tent which is always hugely popular at the festival will feature ten top comedians from home and abroad including actress and comedienne Deirdre O’Kane and Après Match with Barry Murphy, Risteard Cooper and Gary Cooke. Après Match mocks famous, mostly Irish, soccer stars and pundits including Bill O'Herlihy, Eamon Dunphy, Johnny Giles, Liam Brady, Frank Stapleton, Colm Murray, and Graeme Souness, as well as pundits from the UK sports channels, including Richard Keys, Andy Gray, Jamie Redknapp, Gary Lineker and Alan Hansen.

The Killarney Gourmet Food Village will be an extensive showcase of wine and food not only for the region of Kerry but for Ireland as a whole. The food village will be dedicated to excellence in taste and food lifestyles. The area will feature well established restaurants from around Ireland, local artisan food producers and culinary demonstrations by some of Ireland’s finest celebrity and Michelin Star chefs including Derry Clarke from L’Ecrivain who will show foodies how to prepare Michelin star dishes at home. Food vendors offering cuisine from around the world will also be on site to cater for up to 20,000 festival goers over the weekend. There will be a Wine Bar featuring Wines of the World, a Craft Beer Lounge and a Cocktail Lounge where visitors will not only be able experience magnificent cocktails but attend Cocktail making masterclasses. A number of chill-out zones will be available for the visitors to sit and enjoy the festival atmosphere while sampling the delights that they have purchased.

The Killarney Festival welcomes all ages and of course kids under 12 years of age are allowed in for free accompanied by an adult when tickets are booked in advance. The Killarney Kids Zone (KKZ) will have a fairground, giant games and kids’ activities for all ages including arts and crafts.

Killarney Festival of Music & Food will have a range of hospitality options for groups and companies including catered marquees and bars with luxury loos, catering and full bars.

Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle 2015

The Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle, is the biggest one-day charity fundraising event in Munster, attracting thousands of leisure cyclists who will experience a fun and rewarding day’s cycling, completing 112 miles of the spectacular Ring of Kerry, while at the same time fundraising for a host of worthy Charities.

Killarney July Racing Festival

Killarney's July Racing Festival is one of the highlights of the summer racing season. The festival takes place over 4 days in July. Thousands attend the July races each year with the festival kicking off on Monday evening with Family Evening. Tuesday and Wednesday are also evening meetings with great racing promised. Thursday 16th of July is Ladies Day where the coveted title Queen of Fashion is awarded.

Run Killarney Marathon

The Run Killarney Marathon is returning once again this year and will be taking place on Saturday 18th July. This is a professionally run event organised by Elite Event Management and every effort will be made to ensure that all the competitors are well looked after. Participants will experience the breathtaking views of the Lakes of Killarney, Killarney National Park, Muckross House and the Ring of Kerry. Choice of three exciting routes: Full Marathon, Half Marathon or 10K. The races are open to everyone, at all levels of running experience and fitness. Walkers, newcomers and people who just want a challenge and a great, fun day out are also gladly welcome to participate in the event.

FolkFest Killarney

FolkFest Killarney at the INEC will be Ireland’s largest celebration of folk music from Ireland and beyond, bursting forth from four different stages over three thrilling days.

Killarney August Racing Festival

Killarney's August Racing Festival takes place over 4 days in August, commencing on Wednesday 19th August. Wednesday to Friday are all evening meetings with Saturday being an afternoon meeting as well as incorporating Ladies Day.
The Festival features the very best of festival racing, the Vincent O'Brien Ruby Stakes on the opening day of the festival always attracts some great runners. Over the four days racing the festivals offers a prize fund of nearly €400,000.

Long Distance Triathlon

Killarney Adventure Race - October 2015

The Killarney Adventure Race is a one day multi-adventure sport race that gives competitors the chance to run, hike, cycle and kayak some of the most beautiful and stunning scenery in the south-west of Ireland.
