The Gap of Dunloe is a rugged mountain pass on the eastern side of the Kerry's MacGillycuddy's Reeks. Famous for it's rugged scenery, the Gap can be experienced on foot, on jaunting car or on an organised day trip. The organised tour begins by coach to Kate Kearney’s Cottage where jaunting carts bring you through the Gap of Dunloe. Keen walkers will love the terrain also. Boats await at Gearhameen River for the homeward journey via the enchanting Upper, Middle and Lower Lakes to historic Ross Castle where coaches return visitors to town.
